Dear Smooth Run!
I was turned onto Smooth Run by Karin Recalde in Hollister, CA. She mentioned trying Breathe Smooth for my gelding who was coughing and bleeding at the end of a barrel race. When Mango first moved from OK to CA he never had the issue and then 2 years later, he started to cough and bleed after strenuous running at a barrel race. I tried using another supplement that was to assist with bleeding and it worked for a few months and then it stopped. I wanted to try everything else before having to move to drugs. I put him on Breathe Smooth and for OVER a year we’ve not had a single cough after we run. It’s made a HUGE difference and what a relief!!!! It may not fix every bleeder but, what the heck…why not try it? At least consult your vet and try it.
We also have our 27 year old gelding with Cushings and founder on Gastro Smooth. He’s on 2-4 grams of Bute a day to stay comfortable and we give him the Gastro Smooth as a preventative measure for ulcers since Bute can lead to stomach ulcers. He’s been on Bute daily for 3-4 years and he’s been doing well. He has to take his daily medication for Cushings and is on a very strict low carb diet, but the Gastro Smooth seems to give us peace of mind that we’re doing what we can to protect him from ulcers and the stresses of the medicines he takes.
